On Saturday Luton Henge by artist Matthew Rosier, will officially open with a day of celebration. The Henge was commissioned by Chilterns National Landscape as part of the National Landscape Association's Nature Calling programme.

On Saturday 26 July 2025, local producers Revoluton Arts and Chilterns National Landscape will host the Luton Henge Festival, a one-day celebration marking the official launch of Luton’s brand-new monument—a bold fusion of ancient inspiration and modern community spirit.
Set in the heart of Marsh Farm, just outside Marsh House and near the historic grounds of Waulud’s Bank, this free festival is an invitation to the people of Luton to experience the very first chapter of their new Henge.
Expect a vibrant day filled with live performances, hands-on art and craft workshops and exciting activities for all ages. For long time locals or curious visitors, there will be something for everyone to discover, explore and enjoy.

Bird Rave/2nd Show (16:00–16:30) – A playful, high-energy mix of craft, dance, and performance for all ages!
Drink & Draw (17:00 – 18:30) – Doodle like it’s 3000 BC. Bring your own soft drinks, juice, or even donuts. Perfect for all ages.
Limestones Band (17:30 – 18:30) – Join us for an acoustic set. Come, sit and listen to new music and covers.
Utter Lutonia!/Lee Nelson (18:30 – 19:30) – Join us for utter poetry, join us for Utter Lutonia! Hosted by Lee Nelson and Britny Virgina and featuring Luton’s own poetic treasure, John Hegley.
Bombay Baja Brass Band (19:30 – 20:30) – With roots in festival traditions, Bombay Baja brings a carnival atmosphere like no other—bold brass, big beats and joyous vibes.
Laura Misch/Saxophonist (20:30 – 20:45) – Laura will bathe the Henge in soothing clouds of saxophone as the sun sets on the festival.
This is a free festival. Bring some food, have a picnic and enjoy the site.

Luton Henge has permanent planning permission and is being managed by a volunteer group 'The Luton Henge Collective', providing opportunities for the local community to enjoy the Henge for many years to come.
