OneDa’s music speaks for itself - her tracks incorporate elements from the hip-hop and drum and bass scenes of her home city of Manchester before adding an eclectic mix of afro-trap and tinges of afrobeats that lean into her Nigerian heritage. Named by The Face as one of the key MC’s at the forefront of the drum ‘n’ bass renaissance, her linguistic talent distinguishes her as a unique force of nature and a master craftswoman.

Artist Statement

The reason I decided to take on this project was following a trip to Greenland in which the natural beauty was overwhelming yet so inspiring.  When I saw this project advertised, I leaped at the chance to again be directly inspired by a natural environment that has depths of beauty to explore.  Lyric writing, spoken word and music is a huge passion of mine and allows me to express myself in a unique way, I aim to combine my passion, talent and my creative outlook to explore the forest of Bowland in a new way.

OneDa will be working with local producers Blaze Arts and Lancaster Arts in Burnley and Nelson.
